Coloring the Causeway for a Cure is sponsored by ITG Realty, a local real estate company providing buying and selling services for residential, commercial, and investment properties in Brevard County.

Coloring the Causeway for a Cure was started with the purpose of helping local individuals and families affected by cancer. Each year in February we have a 5k walk over the Melbourne Causeway. We invite walkers to dress up in the cancer color they are there to support (or all the colors) to raise money for locals. We have two wonderful organizations who benefit from our walk Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation & SCREW Cancer (Surviving Cancer Requires Eternal Will).

Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation:

The Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation provides financial support to qualified adult cancer patients in Brevard County for expenses such as rent or mortgage, car payments and utility bills. By giving patients peace of mind in knowing that their bills are being paid while they are undergoing treatment, the FCS Foundation allows them to concentrate on what really matters – fighting cancer. Due to the generosity of the Florida Cancer Specialists partner physicians in covering all overhead expenses for the Foundation, 100% of donations received go directly towards paying the essential non-medical living expenses of an adult battling cancer.

SCREW Cancer's goal is to promote awareness through a bold statement and to provide financial backing to those organizations that are committed to research, care, emotional, and financial support. This year SCREW Cancer will be helping two local families.
